- flexibility
- structural alignment
- proper functioning of body systems
- mental steadiness

Learn how to focus, center, relax and develop self-control with various breathing and visualization techniques. Children will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun postures, group games, breathing and basic anatomy.
YogaKids classes are designed to stimulate and teach children a multitude of ways to perceive and access information uniquely through hatha yoga and Gardner's theory of 7 intelligences:
- Verbal / linguistic intelligence
- Logical / mathematical intelligence
- Visual / spatial intelligence
- Body / kinesthetic intelligence
- Musical / rhythmic intelligence
- Interpersonal intelligence
- Intrapersonal intelligence
YogaKids integrate language, art, games, music, science, story-telling and more into a complete curriculum to engage the "whole child" in the multiple intelligences theory of learning, employing ecology, anatomy, earthcare and life lessons that echo yogic principles of oneness, interdependence and FUN!
- Yoga Therapy
In yoga therapy, yoga practices are tailored to suit individual needs, provide ayurvedic advice on nutrition and lifestyle, whilst taking medical considerations into account. Therefore, it is effective as a safe means of assisting with medical conditions.
As complementary sciences in the Vedic tradition, Ayurveda is primarily concerned with diet and environment, while yoga primarily deals with the body, breath and mind. Together, they form a comprehensive health management system.
Yoga therapy is applicable to a great variety of conditions, including anxiety, headache, back pain, insomnia, diabetes, scoliosis, hypertension and menstrual problems. It also cultivates body/mind reintegration and a state of balance with which one relates to oneself and others.
Years of teaching experience has shown that yoga therapy is effective and can be practiced in conjunction with any medical treatments and other complementary therapies. No prior experience of yoga is necessary before starting.
Classes are conducted on an individual basis for personal attention, differing from a group class setting.
