Timothy Khoo is the sole proprietor and manager of Oasis Holistic. He organises ongoing events, courses and schedules of Oasis Holistic's team of resident and visiting teachers. Intrigued by the various styles and aspects of yoga, his approach of sharing is a synthesis of his on-going learning. Oasis Holistic is his journey and vehicle of communicating the joy and awareness the yoga practice brings about in daily life and its lessons.
Erika Khoo, Director of Oasis Holistic, is an experienced yoga teacher and has been teaching in Singapore since 1975 when she first started teaching whilst studying under Mr. Eradi who is a disciple of Vishudevananda from India. Since then she has obtained advanced diplomas with the British Wheel of Yoga. Thereafter she became a Master of Yoga when she obtained her advanced teaching diploma in Sivananda Yoga. It is her dream come true with the birth of Oasis Holistic. Her vision for Oasis Holistic is simple:
“A holistic approach to life can be achieved while promoting an avenue for people to discover peace. A lifestyle for total well-being where people come together to support and share through yoga, healing and love. Healing takes place not only on a physical level but also on an emotional, mental and spiritual level.”
James Khoo, Principal of Oasis Holistic, is a certified Silva Method Instructor (CSMI) and works with people from all walks of life to enhance the quality of their lifestyles. He conducts workshops & courses for people who want to reduce stress and develop themselves to have the quality of the lifestyle they want, by introducing Stress Management & Relaxation methods with Silva Method's formulae type techniques.
He has more than 20 years of international & commercial sales experience. Hence, his workshops & courses are delivered in real-life scenarios.
Additionally, James' volunteered after-care, has counseled many people back to the right directions, to fulfill their newfound path for a better life.
Dori Sabapathy has been teaching yoga for the last 20 years. Trained and accredited by the Satyananda/Bihar School of Yoga tradition, she has pared down her practice to the most essential postures and simple stretches to develop greater awareness of coordination of movement and breath. Meditation and pranayama are incorporated in her classes; and every yoga session ends with the Satyananda style Yoga Nidra practice where, from a state of deep relaxation, inner transformation can be achieved.
Mala Manap has been training and practicing Yoga of the Iyengar School for the last 16 years. As part of her training she has done workshops and retreats with various senior teachers including Ramanand Patel, Rodney Yee, Shandor Remete. Her main teacher and mentor is Peter Thomson of the Yoga Space in Sydney and founding member of the Australian BKS Iyengar Association.
Meng Chuan has been teaching yoga since 2001. He has been awarded teaching certificates from The International Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Centre, India, and Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation. Meng Chuan has completed a diploma course in Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda under A.G. Mohan, a renowned yoga master based in India. Meng Chuan believes in continuous learning, and sharing his deeper understanding of the practice with his students. His teaching style reflects the inspiration behind his own studies and explorations.
