Classes

Oasis Holistic is able to a wide range of individuals with varying levels, conditions and interests. Various styles of yoga are available that appeal to diverse personalities. Our classes are in a friendly, safe and enjoyable setting, conducted with an emphasis on the teacher-student connection, where learning takes place on a deeper level.

Mandarin-speaking students would feel right at home with some of our yoga classes conducted in Mandarin, as well as Bilingual classes.

Class duration ranges from an hour to an hour and a half. Please check our Schedule for class timings.

  • Pilates Beginners

    This class takes the student through the foundations of the Pilates principles, and teaches you how to apply them to the Beginner level exercises. As Pilates works from the deep core stabilizing muscles there are specific techniques to teach the student how to engage the core muscles (such as the abdominals). Through strengthening the core, we then move out and isolate specific muscles with the exercises such as the gluteus (backside), back muscles, and also strengthen and tone the arms and legs. As Pilates teaches postural awareness, it is great for improving minor back pain and postural tension. Basic Fitball exercises are also included in the class to help improve balance, coordination, posture as well as provide further muscular toning of those important areas.

    It is recommended to attend several of these classes if you have a sensitive back or joint problem and before trying the General level classes.

  • Pilates General

    This class moves on to the more demanding of the Pilates exercises (with easier variations for those who are almost there). The exercises focus on improving strength, agility, muscular balance, and stabilizing the joints in more challenging postures and movements. The Fitball exercises start to get adventurous, and your abdominals get a great workout

    If you are new to Pilates you should join at least 4 or 5 sessions of the Basics and Beginners classes before you try a General class. This ensures you do the exercises effectively and safely, and the class can flow smoother for the more experienced students.

#1: Block of eight (8) sessions valid for three (3) months from date of purchase
#2 : Block of sixteen (16) sessions valid for six (6) months from date of purchase
* Transportation charges apply if classes are held outside of Oasis Holistic

- Accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Cheques and Bank Drafts, NETS, VISA and Mastercard
